Description

Used by MediaWiki:Protectedinterface and MediaWiki:Protectedpagetext so non-sysops can request edits quickly and easily. Clicking on the button preloads {{Editprotected}} on the talk page of the protected page under a new section named Protected edit request on date.

This template was originally an invocation for the Lua Module:Submit an edit request. It has since been rewritten in wikitext.
